Connect other tools
Use your favorite tools through their MCP servers
If the tool you work with isn’t on the integrations list, you can often connect it yourself. Many apps offer their own MCP server: Linear, Notion, Sentry, Supabase, PostHog, Zapier, and hundreds more. Connect them in Vibewax and the agent can use them while building your projects, for example reading tasks from Linear, pulling content from Notion, or checking errors in Sentry.
Connected servers are personal, and only your own chats use them.
Adding a server
Open Settings → MCP Servers and click Add server.
The quickest way is to pick from Popular servers. It lists over forty ready-made servers, filtered by category such as Developer, Productivity, Content, Data & AI, Commerce, Analytics, and Communication. Pick one and the address and sign-in method are filled in for you.
For any other server, choose Advanced and fill in:
- Name: How the server appears in your list, for example “My Linear”.
- Server URL: The address of the server.
- Transport: Streamable HTTP for current servers. Choose SSE (legacy) only if the server’s documentation asks for it.
- Authentication: OAuth (sign in) if the server signs you in through your browser, or API headers if it expects a key. Headers are optional and are sent with every request, for example
Authorization: Bearer ….
Click Test connection. Vibewax connects to the server and shows how many tools it found. With OAuth, a sign-in window opens first. If nothing appears, allow pop-ups for this site. Then click Save changes.
Header values are stored write-only. Once saved, Vibewax never shows them again. To change them, add new rows, or leave the fields empty to keep what’s stored.
Choosing which tools the agent can use
After the first successful connection, the server’s tools are listed under it, grouped into Read-only tools, Write tools, and Destructive tools. Every tool has its own switch, and Turn all on and Turn all off cover the whole server.
To start with, we recommend leaving only the read-only tools on. Turn on write or destructive tools once you want the agent to change something in that service. The agent only sees the tools you’ve enabled.
Server status
Each server shows its state:
- Connected: Ready to use.
- Sign-in needed: The OAuth session has expired or was never completed. Click Retry and sign in. Tools stay hidden until you complete the sign-in.
- Unreachable: The server didn’t answer the last time Vibewax tried. Last error shows what went wrong, and Retry tries again.
Use the Enabled switch to hide a server from the agent temporarily without deleting it. Disconnect clears a stored sign-in, and Delete server removes the server and its credentials.
Using a connected server
Nothing changes in how you work with the agent. Mention the tool and what you need, and the agent picks the matching MCP tool itself.
